Determining Where a Punch Came From in Kronos

Summary

This article provides information on how to determine where a punch came from in Kronos.

Instructions

The following instructions will show the procedure for determining where punches in the time card came from.

  • Go onto that person’s timecard.
  • Click on the “Audits” tab at the bottom of the timecard. To make the viewing pane larger you may move the “Contents” bar higher so that the "Audits" field becomes larger.

  • In each of the empty columns under the "Audits" tab, move your mouse over the line dividing the column names and when you get the double arrows, click and hold and drag the line to the left to make the column narrower.

  • Click on the right dividing line in the “User” column and drag it to the right to make the "User" column larger.
  • The “User” column shows where the punch came from. If the description in the "User" column starts with “Superuser” then that punch came from the timeclock and which clock is shown at the end of that line.

In the example above the employee swiped the timeclock at a school to punch in on 1/17. The employee’s supervisor approved a” Time Off Request” for sick time on 1/15, and the timekeeper reviewed the employee’s punch on 1/15.
