There are a variety of reasons, during employment with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, that you might need to verify your employment and income. For instance, employment and income verification might be required by a mortgage lender when you are purchasing a home or in connection with a lease or rental agreement. Whatever information is required, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools is here to help.
In partnership with Equifax, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools makes this information available to mortgage lenders via The Work Number. The Work Number is a convenient and confidential system that allows your lender to quickly validate your employment and income history for up to three completed years. The lender can use The Work Number and the company code for our district, which is (10825), to access your employment and salary information. You can review your information and create a salary key to provide to your lender by following the below steps:

Step One: Visit The Work Number website at the following address: http://www.theworknumber.com/.

Step Two: In the top right menu, select “Manage My Employment Data.”

Step Three: Below “How to Manage Your Data,” choose “Sign Up.”

Step Four: Select “I’m not a robot” and then enter our company code, “10825,” and choose “Search Employer.”

Step Five: Next, select “Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.”

Step Six: Under “Register Now!” you are then prompted to enter your personal information, validate your personal information, and then sign in.

Step Seven: Once you are signed in, select the “Salary Key Expiration” tab to generate a “salary key” for your mortgage lender. The “salary key” provides lender verification of employment and income with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.
